East Wayne Street Center was established in 1965 to help address and meet the needs of the central city neighborhood - which is one of the most neglected areas of Fort Wayne. The center started with two programs and has now grown to 13 to meet the needs of those in the greater Fort Wayne area.

History

Established in 1965, the East Wayne Street Center began to significantly address and meet the needs of the central city neightborhoods of Fort Wayne. In nearly 40 years of establishing itself a presence in one of the traditionally most neglected areas of the city, EWSC has Grown from 2 programs to 13. Keeping families as the central purpose behind all current and future programs - EWSC continues to believe that it will be the families of Fort Wayne that will allow the city to flourish.
